Breast Cancer Isn't For Sissies!

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1999. The symbol for breast cancer awareness may be a pale pink ribbon, but I'm here to tell you it isn't for sissies! Support someone you love who's dealing with breast cancer treatment, and acknowledge their courage and strength with this T-shirt.

Hope you beat it and stay free of it forever. My mom got it in the 70s. She had a lumpectomy and radiation.

Then in the 90s a mamogram revealed a lump in her breast. She was sent to a diagnostic center for a needle biopsy. Instead of doing a biopsy with one needle stab, they did a destruction of the mass with 9 needle stabs.

In late 98 she developed a pain in her hip, it turned out to be metastasized breast cancer that took her life in '99. She went to her death believing that the needle destruction had spread the cancer, and that she should have insisted on surgical removal.

The needle biopsy machine was new, the diagonostic center was owned by a group of doctors (including her doctor) and I'm sure they were trying to do as many procedures as possible to pay it off.

So, ask questions and don't trust your doctor too much.
